Leah V. Flumerfelt - the designer of the original Artisan Party Supply Signature Wish Crown and founder of Artisan Party Supply - is a featured artist in the Artisan Partly Supply Showcase / Affiliated Artist Gallery.

In addition to Nepalese lokta paper creations like Artisan Party Supply Signature Paper Crowns and Wish Crowns, Leah Flumerfelt enjoys designing and creating artworks out of tiny origami paper bubbles.

The hand-made Japanese kozo paper or Chiyogami can be hand-silkscreened up to 16 layers. Leah cuts the large sheets of Japanese washi into small squares and folds them into the Japanese Water Balloon (also known as the Japanese Water Bomb) origami model.

The artworks in the Showcase / Artisan Party Supply Affiliate Artist Gallery include garlands of origami bubbles, which have been strung together with a needle and silk ribbon.

If unframed, the garlands make lovely threshold blessings / welcome home gifts / home decor, statement necklaces, blessings and adornments like a flower garland to place around the neck or drape above a doorway.

If framed, the paper bubbles are sewn into a spiral or snaking river shape and placed in a shadow box for hanging on the wall.

The experience of being mindful with Japanese Chiyogami paper bubbles - whether while threaded and strung up with ribbon, sewn snugly into a frame, or bobbing freely in a lake on a summer’s day - is simply beautiful.
